One phrase, translated by conscryption-kit into each fictional script and cipher that it supports, from Gravity Falls, The Owl House, Avatar and Transformers.
October 6, 2026by
conscryption-kit is a command-line kit that translates English into the writing systems and ciphers of four
animated franchises: Gravity Falls, The Owl House, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Transformers.
You give it a phrase and a scheme. It gives the phrase back in that scheme, as an SVG drawn from the glyph
outlines or as cipher text.
Below is one phrase, EVERY SCRIPT HAS A STORY, in every scheme that the kit can encode: 17 glyph
scripts and 7 text ciphers. Each image is the kit’s own output, rendered to PNG. Nothing
on this page was drawn by hand.
How a phrase becomes glyphs
The kit picks a route from the family of the scheme:
Letter ciphers (Caesar, Atbash, A1Z26, Vigenère, the combined cipher and the others) use the kit’s own
codecs. The tests check them against pycipher, a second
implementation.
Symbol-substitution scripts (the Gravity Falls symbol ciphers and most Transformers alphabets) go
through a Glaemscribe mode that writes the English as
capital letters. A font then draws each letter as its glyph.
The Owl House runes are phonetic. eSpeak NG turns the English
into sounds (IPA), a Glaemscribe mode maps the sounds to runes, and a rune font that the kit traced from a
chart draws them.
Avatarian is phonetic too, and it stacks its sounds into blocks. eSpeak NG gives the sounds, and a
Python port of the Avatar Wiki’s Module:Avatarian composes the blocks as SVG.
Each route has a second, independent check in the tests. Two separate transcribers must agree on every
Glaemscribe mode. The Avatarian port must match the wiki’s own rendering on all 106 of the wiki’s examples.
The font checks prove that each font gives a different glyph to each letter that it covers.

A scheme with no complete key gets a clear refusal, not a guess:
Chinese characters of the Avatar world (the shows and the Kyoshi novels): not a cipher. Classical Chinese characters. (family: real-language)
Gundam (no script, no cipher): none found (family: none)
Gem Glyph (Steven Universe): key not complete. Some glyphs are decoded from the notes of Steven Sugar (Steven Universe: End of an Era, page 217) and from the words of Rebecca Sugar. (family: logographic-partial)
