Cookies and page statistics

Always on: essential cookies
These cookies make the site work. They hold no profile of you.

frontend_lang | Remembers the language of the site. | 1 year |

Off until you click "Allow statistics": page statistics
If you click Allow statistics, the site software (Odoo) records the pages that you open on this site: the address of each page and the time. The record has a visitor key that Odoo makes from your IP address, your browser name and your session. If you are signed in, the record is linked to your account. The record has no location. Records of visitors who are not signed in are deleted 60 days after their last visit.
If you come from a link that has campaign tags (utm_campaign, utm_source,
utm_medium), the site keeps those tags in cookies for 31 days, also only after you
allow statistics.
If you click Only essential, or if you do not choose, the site records none of this.
What this site does not do
- No advertising and no advertising cookies.
- No Google Analytics and no other outside statistics service.
- No outside fonts or scripts: the fonts come from this site.
- Announcement emails have no open tracking and no click tracking.
- The web servers do not write visitor IP addresses to their logs.
- The translator does not keep the text that you translate.
- Post view counters keep only a total for each post.
The mobile app
The app has no advertising and no statistics code. On iOS, Apple Vision reads the text in a picture on the phone. On Android, reading text from a picture uses Google ML Kit, which sends Google usage data (device model, Android version, app version, an install ID, speed and errors). That feature is off until you tap Allow in the app, and a switch on the Read screen turns it off again. Reading glyphs does not use ML Kit. The site pages in the app use the same cookie bar.
